How many of us have met consultants who like to think (we know better) that:
A. They know everything about everything; and
B. You must never under any circumstances challenge them.

How aggravating… and detrimental to The Consultant, The Team, The Elegant Solution, The Project, The Client and The Firm.

In fact, how detrimental to The Family as well…

Nothing is to be gained from such egotistical displays, yet all too often egos fed from getting “one success in a row” often lead to this.

The Wise Consultant should avoid this at all costs, by continually being open to new ideas from all sources (including The Client), and qualifying anything which comes out of his mouth with something like “This is my understanding – “…
